I know it’s been a few weeks since we’ve done one of these! I decided to do it a little differently today. I have always been really into those books that ask you questions about yourself and your life. I took some of those questions and have answered them here for you. Don’t forget to ask me your questions for next week on the Ask Lauren tab above!

Q: What things matter to your parents most?

A: A lot of things matter to my parents. Happiness, success, health and safety come to mind. My parents haven’t been the “suffocating” kind (at least for the most part :)) But they’ve always cared and that’s what’s important. They’ve always been supportive (even when it’s been extremely hard to be). I know that my parents want nothing more than for me and my brother to be happy in our lives. They want us to live easy and without much struggle. They want us to learn from our mistakes and move forward. Continue making them proud. Happiness is important for them to achieve as well. My dad recently left his job and is on the hunt for something that makes him excited to wake up every morning. My mom is next to jump on that train. My stepmom has been lucky enough to find her passion and be completely content with her job. I’m so fortunate to have parents like them.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I’m still trying to figure it out. My style is constantly changing. I’m the type of girl who is comfortable in stilettos and sneakers. I’m trying to step outside my style-box more frequently, wearing clothes that I “normally” wouldn’t. I’m HUGE on accessories and mostly basic and neutral tops. However, I’ve been introducing bright, bold colors that make me feel springy even when it’s a torrential downpour in San Francisco. I have so many shoes (really, I think I have a problem), so I’m making serious effort to wear all of them. My style will always be changing.

Q: Are you competitive?

A: Absolutely. I turn everything into a competition. It’s what makes me strive to do better, be better, accomplish more. I even took a bet on when my best friend’s baby will be born (come on April 22!). Life’s a little more fun when there’s some friendly competition in it.
