Last week, I walked into Lush to restock some of my bath bombs (which I love!) and got a little sidetracked by the fresh face masks. I haven’t tried much of Lush’s skincare, but I was intrigued by the masks displayed on ice. I spoke with the sales lady for a while about which one I should try for my normal, but sometimes moody skin. She recommended Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask, and I’m glad she did.

Most of the ingredients are natural and the few that aren’t are labeled as “safe synthetics.” Ingredients include free range eggs and fresh herbs (parsley, coriander, turmeric, etc.) that require this mask to be refrigerated.

First, I washed my face with my Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash and patted my face dry.

Then, I applied a thick, even layer of the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask and let it dry for the full 10 minutes.

The mask itself has a very coarse texture due to the ground almond shells and a slightly herbal but sweet scent. It does harden pretty quickly and when I rinsed with warm water, I made sure to put those almond shells to good use exfoliating while washing it away.

After I dried my face, my skin was so smooth and soft! I did apply my night moisturizer after my face was dry — it’s not the most moisturizing.

If you’re looking for a good polishing and renewal mask, this is a great option. It’s gentle enough that you can use a couple times per week.

Do you have any favorite Lush Face Masks? Now that I found this one, I’m dying to try others!
