There are 15 days before graduation. I can’t believe it’s almost time for me to spread my wings into the real world. But before I do that, here is a list of 31 things to do before I graduate (or at least before I leave Boulder):

I was 12. I was attending West Middle School in Greenwood Village, Colo., and was in the seventh grade. It was a normal Tuesday. For me at least.
While I was in school that day, two students at a neighboring High School just less than ten miles away were on a killing rampage

So, I went on a date last night. I haven’t been on a real date in quite some time. You know, a real date – like when the guy actually puts some effort into planning some kind of outing for just the two of you. I know, seems outlandish, right?

I applied for a job at Twitter today.
I am awaiting their response with baited breath.

Who knew that three words, the longest one only consisting of four letters, would hold so much merit. These three words, uttered between couples, family members, friends or really anyone these days. Many people just say “I love you” to get what they want, others (most people I fear) say them without knowing their true meaning. These three words hold an incredible amount of power – but, did you know, these three little words also have many meanings.

We’ve all been there. And we’ve been on both sides of it. Why do people ask questions they really don’t want to know the answer to? And how do you answer questions you don’t necessarily want the other person to know the answer to?

Today is day two of Passover.
I spent the last two nights at family Seders celebrating the Jews’ brave escape from the evil Pharoah. I can’t even tell you how many times I have had to tell the story of Passover to friends and strangers in order to explain why I’m eating “weird” food for eight days and going to big family gatherings. Surprisingly enough, I don’t mind explaining.

This film cracked me up. The short, witty one-liners were definitely a highlight. However, it was the concept of the film that really got me thinking. The movie is about a man who is getting married and is in search of a best man for his wedding. He goes on several “man-dates” in order to seek out the best fit for the position. He has no friends. According to his brother, he has always been a “girlfriend guy” where he bounces from relationship to relationship and leaves his friends in the dust, thus, leaving him with no friends whatsoever. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is just a movie, but movies can sometimes dictate real life. Let me break it down for you.

I’m sure this will be one of many blog postings about graduation, but it is heavily on my mind.

It’s always bittersweet returning home from a trip. Especially a great one.
My trip last week to San Francisco was incredible. It was different than a usual spring break vacation.

I love airports. They are prime real estate for people-watching. I see people tuned in to their laptops, with the signature apple iPhone earbuds hanging from one ear and their blackberry glued to the other. It’s fascinating how technology has taken over our lives – and it is blatantly obvious at the airport.
