Seven (and a Half) Years.

Seven (and a Half) Years.

You know how some people say “oh! I don’t know where the time went!” and you roll your eyes and think “sure. sure.” Well, I don’t know where the time went. This past fall was full of travel, shoulder recovery, crazy busy times at work, the holidays, more travel, hours spent with my physical therapists, basically, it went fast. And lo and behold, it’s 2017.

More and Less. 2016.

More and Less. 2016.

I’m a little late in my annual “More and Less” post this year, but I’m okay with it. The month of January was intense (to say the least) and I’m just getting my feet back under me.

More and less. 2015.

More and less. 2015.

Last year, I started something. I wrote a post about what I wanted more and less of in 2014. Truth is, I’ve never been good at setting “resolutions.” I’m still a planner and a SMART goal-setter, but I really liked the way 2014 turned out when focusing on what I want more and less of in my life.

On being present.

On being present.

It seems to be this way every year — I wake up and it’s suddenly January. Christmas lights have been taken down, cinnamon candles snuffed out, gingerbread cookies meeting their fate at the bottom of a Glad bag. And the holiday season — my favorite season — has come and gone in a daze.

2009: A Reflection

As the New Year approaches, it seems as though it’s a theme in the blogosphere to be writing about their New Year resolutions. Yes… I want to join a gym, lose 20 pounds, be a better person, blah blah blah. But let’s be real here for a second.
