It’s the freakin’ weekend… #3
By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be in Colorado on my way up to FairPlay. “Why Fairplay?” You may ask… This weekend marks the 23rd annual father/daughter fly fishing trip I take with my dad every year.

But what I’ve come to realize is that’s not enough. It’s not enough to turn your phone or computer or iPad or television off for a few hours.
It’s been a short, but super busy week this week. San Jose for a video shoot on Tuesday, team offsite (which was really an “onsite offsite”) yesterday, whew! I’m looking forward to the weekend.
There are few things I like less than being unprepared. I prefer to have certain things with me at (almost) all times that I might need while out and about.
Who’s ready for a three day weekend? This girl is for sure. One of my best friends got married last weekend (congrats, Julie and Bryce!), I’m pretty sure it took at least half of this week to recover. Now, I have three days to relax (LOL, I have plans every day. Sigh.)
For about a month or so, I’ve been waking up early, getting in my workout (and then it’s done for the day!!), showering and going through a morning “getting ready” routine. And honestly? I’m into it.
Shashi Batra launched Credo Beauty this past January as a site that offers dozens of natural beauty brands like Vapour, Ilia, One Love Organics, Lily Lolo, Acure and more.
Fourth of July will always be a special holiday for me. Not just because I love fireworks and BBQ and patriotic fruit cakes, but because it marks the weekend on which I moved to San Francisco. Six years ago last weekend, I made the best decision of my life (so far, at least).
No, not the TV series (to which I’m totally addicted). The Boyfriend, his brother and I took a trip down to the south to visit some of their family in Nashville. I’ve never been to Nashville before, so I was thrilled to get an invite, explore the city and revisit some of my country roots.
I’ve been working very hard as of late to eat healthier. I’d say it has to do with the changing season, but San Francisco is basically perpetually fall. I find I just feel better when I’m paying attention to what I’m eating and drinking and when I limit certain things (gluten, sugar, dairy) I tend to have more energy, feel lighter and cleaner, and just better about myself in general.
I’ve finally settled into an evening skincare routine that makes me so blissfully happy to crawl into bed. I’ve always known how important it is to take off your makeup before bed, but for years….I didn’t (shhh!!).
I’m obsessed with face masks. Clearing, moisturizing, cleansing, whatever your “ailment,” I can guarantee you I’ve tried a mask that touts its ability to fix it. So, I decided to start a new series on TOBR called “Mask of the Moment” (or MOTM). I’ll share with you the many masks I already own and the ones I can’t wait to try and, as always, share my honest thoughts.
