I spent this week in the beautiful state of Utah for work. Adobe has a huge (gorgeous) office in Lehi, Utah. Lucky for me, the weather was pretty mild for it being February and all. It certainly wasn’t nearly as frigid and uncomfortable as it was in November when I visited. That was brutal. I know, I’m a Colorado girl, but these past five and a half years in San Francisco have made me a wimp.
Just because it wasn’t super cold doesn’t mean it wasn’t dry as ever. Living in Colorado, I never noticed. But now that I’m by the ocean, any time I travel to Utah or back home to Colorado, my skin cries for moisture. (On the other hand, my hair loves it).
These three products are my saviors while I’m in such a dry climate. The Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask is so magical. First of all, it smells like a fruit smoothie. But most importantly, it does wonders for dry skin. I put a healthy helping of this all over my face after cleansing and leave it on all night. It doesn’t feel sticky or super heavy, but it does feel more intense than a night cream. It’s heavenly. The Nuxe-Reve de Miel Nourishing Lip Balm is a new addition to my regimen. So many lovely beauty bloggers from London just rave about this stuff, so I ordered some off Amazon and, man am I glad I did. The best way to describe the feel of this lip balm is “pure silk.” Seriously. It feels so luxurious and stays on throughout the day and night. I’m obsessed. Last but certainly not least, the L’Occitane Cleansing and Softening Shower Oil with Almond Oil is so luxurious. First, the fragrance is decadent. It doesn’t smell too almond-y, but just enough to be addictive. It starts out as an oil in the palm of your hands, but turns into a warm, light cream when you rub your hands together. And, it leaves your skin so silky and smooth.
