Education

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have had (and continue to have) incredible mentors in my life. Some of whom I didn’t realize were actually mentors until they were no longer there, and I had ended up in a place only they could have subliminally nudged me towards. These mentors have come into my life naturally. They were just people who were at the right place at the right time and willing to help, nurture, encourage and provide me with tactical advice on how to achieve my goals.

As you know, I just recently updated my Digital Vision Board. One of the images that has stuck with the vision board despite its updates, is one of good, healthy, wholesome food. Now, I may be a little late on the Health Food Bandwagon, but a little late is better than never when it comes to [...]

I don’t remember my first time stepping into a bookstore, but I’m sure I was bewitched. Every bookstore smells almost the same. Except for used bookstores — those smell even more profound than new. Sweet, musty, sometimes with a hint of glue.

I love to read. I love navigating my way through a thick plot, losing myself in the characters, flipping pages uncontrollably, without even realizing. I can travel the world and take a walk in any shoes while reading a book.

I arrived at my apartment last night, flipped on the TV, unpacked my laptop, and checked my phone. All before I had even taken my sweater off. And smiled.

A group of gay men that looked around one day and said, “Wait! I’m not a stereotypical gay guy!” and started a new [...]

My friend and former assistant, Cameron, called me yesterday with exciting news. He told me that he got hired on full-time at his “travelling job” that he’s had for a while during school. What’s even more special about this, is that Cam has been “following in my footsteps” for a while now – he was my Entertainment reporter when I was Entertainment Editor at the CU Independent; when I was Managing Editor, he was Entertainment Editor; when I was Chief, he was Managing Editor.

So, I decided to try a little something new on the ol’ blog. I seem to have been talking a lot about relationships lately, and I thought it would be interesting to get a male perspective on the world of dating. However, I didn’t expect to get quite the response that I got. When I [...]
