15 years. It’s been 15 years since Ms. Marsell’s English class where I met my best friend. Much like the beginnings of many friendships, we didn’t quite like each other at first. But, we persevered. And throughout the last 15 years, we’ve continued to persevere.
Whew! It feels good to get back to the blog after a couple weeks of pure craziness at work. The week before last was Adobe Summit, the largest Digital Marketing Conference Adobe puts on every year.
It was the middle of June 2009 and my mom and I had walked miles and miles around San Francisco looking for an apartment. We didn’t have much time to find one, sign a lease and get a set of keys. We walked everywhere, sometimes in heels, and we just hadn’t found the right apartment for me to start my new journey in San Francisco.
During the holidays (man, the holiday seem so long ago, don’t they?) I was walking around the Sephora at Kierland in Arizona and I stumbled upon The Great Cleanse Limited Edition Set. Needless to say, it was love at first sight.
I spent this week in the beautiful state of Utah for work. Adobe has a huge (gorgeous) office in Lehi, Utah. Lucky for me, the weather was pretty mild for it being February and all.
While I do love this romantic holiday, I’m also a believer in showing love year round! Whether you’re heading out (or staying in) with your loved one, or enjoying a “galentine’s” day with your girls, these are my favorite products for a sultry look.
Every year since I was very little, my mom, brother and I visit my Ya Ya and Pop Pop in Arizona over the holidays. This year was no different. I flew in Christmas Eve and spent five days relaxing, reading, playing Gin, and spending time with family in sunny Arizona.
Pantone’s color of the year. Rich, sophisticated, earthy, elegant. I’m a huge fan of this year’s color of the year. Honestly, I feel like it’s a little more wearable than last year’s Radiant Orchid (although that color is gorgeous, too).
It’s almost my birthday! Just like it didn’t really feel like the holidays this year, it certainly doesn’t feel like it’s time for it to be my birthday already… Alas, time does not stop!
Last year, I started something. I wrote a post about what I wanted more and less of in 2014. Truth is, I’ve never been good at setting “resolutions.” I’m still a planner and a SMART goal-setter, but I really liked the way 2014 turned out when focusing on what I want more and less of in my life.
Turns out, putting together a Wish List and sending it to friends and family works pretty well! I was very fortunate this holiday season and was gifted several items I listed.
Several weeks ago, Sephora asked me to film a video with them about some of my favorite products at Sephora right now and some I’d be gifting over the holidays. Well, the video is live and I’m so freaking excited about it!
